Support branching and merge

It would be phenomenal to get branching and merging supported. That'd make this tool very useful to do testing in updates of data.

Thank you very much for your suggestion. This is indeed a feature we originally intended to have. However, we're currently focused on other projects, so this one is not actively receiving new feature development at the moment. Thank you for your understanding.
