New Member Announcement
This is the process for announcing new Foundation Members
Details:
After the election:
- The date for announcing the new Members should be agreed in advance with Russ and Andrea. - May 23
- Get list of new members from Secretary (Matt Cobby)
1-2 Weeks before Announcement:
- Contact each Member by email and slack to ask for a png of a photo for the Announcement. Let them know that you understand that they may be busy and that if they don’t get back to you by your deadline, you’ll use the photo from either their LinkedIn profile or Slack profile (whichever looks better to you).
- Get a quote from the President and the Chair - Yuki and Daniel to get to me by 5/23
- Start creating the Slides to be used in the announcements. The slides I set up for last year are on canva: High Res Announcement Templates and Slides on canva.
- Russ should receive the text for the Members Announcements a few days in advance to review.
- The Board should also be informed of the day you plan to announce.
Day of Announcement:
Announcements should be in the following order:
- Members page updated.
- Announcements page updated.
- Slack announcement from Russ (where all new Members are tagged correctly).
- Announcement on our social channels where all new Members are correctly tagged.
Once you’ve posted on social, share links on the following slack channels:

Share the links as a reply to russ’s announcement on slack about the new Members.

Contact all new Members on slack to share the slack, website and social announcements with them. Let them know that you’ll also be posting about them in our next Newsletter.
