Access to mirth.properties file

Hi.
Would appreciate your feedback on the location of mirth.properties file. Looking at it seems that from some locations it is accessed as a resource, requiring conf/ to be on the classpath, but on some other locations is accessed as a directory that must be present in current working directory (i.e. ./conf/). Is there any good reason for this ambiguity ?

Mirth currently uses two parallel mechanisms to load mirth.properties (from the filesystem and from the classpath). It’s simply a historical/legacy artifact of the Mirth 4.x codebase
