Running splishsplash in DOS environment 

Hello
I want to run SplishSplash in DOS. I want couple this program with another program. I want to run SplishSplash and then my own program (C++ code). SO I think I need to run both in DOS environment then I can couple these two programs. 
What is your recommendation about it?
