Bombs Won't Explode If You Attempt To Use It In Camp

So I found a bomb in the waterfall at camp and threw it at the boxes near the fire to see if it would blow all the boxes up. It didn't, so I figured that was by design. However, when I tried to throw that same bomb in the first dungeon, it never exploded. I tried shooting it, throwing it at a box, throwing it at an enemy, and it never exploded. Subsequent bombs I found in the dungeon worked fine.

Out of curiosity, did you get it wet?

Actually yes - I got it from the barrel in the cave under the waterfall.
