Consider upgrading UTxO in Ledger Tables #2040
Description
Now that #1999 is merged, UTxO set lives outside the ledger state in Ledger Tables. Previously UTxO were translated on each era transition. Now this doesn't happen. Normally UTxO are only queries once. The only exception, other than rollbacks, is with reference inputs (maybe also collateral inputs?), where an output can be referenced multiple times. Every time it's referenced it needs to be upgraded from the era it was created to the current era.
It may make sense to either translate everything. Or even better use the translation of a referenced output and put it back translated for future requests.
Querying access patters, like if there are outputs that are referenced multiple times (this is my assumption) can be useful.
