That's a great point about having a clear and concise 'How to Get Involved' section. I think it would be really helpful to outline what counts as a meaningful contribution in a way that's easy to follow. Maybe we could break it down into sections under the "new contributor" folder
Once we can provide a list of action items or starter tasks, we can tag them under the 'good first issues' tag. In terms of the 'CONTRIBUTING.md', it is correctly not linked under "How to get involved". It is under the contribution guidelines and I agree we want to update it to reflect more specific instructions and get rid of any template references that don’t apply to our project as a separate PR. Let me know your thoughts |

Having a clear and concise "How to Get Involved" section will help attract new contributors to the project and make it easier for them to get started. Currently the "How to Get Involved" section refers to TBD abd CONTRIBUTING.md, but the file is the template carried over from committee generics. This section should describe what counts as a meaningful contribution: a potential contributor is reading the readme and is thinking to themselves "what specific actions can I take this week?"
