🐛 Replying to comments shows “Failed to comment” error despite successful submission #3780

Context

Users are able to submit replies to comments in both the Proposal Discussion Forum and Budget Proposals sections. While the reply is successfully saved and displayed, a misleading red notification banner appears at the top of the screen saying: “Failed to comment”.

This issue has been observed across all environments (dev, QA, preview, preprod, and production).

Steps to reproduce

  1. Navigate to a proposal or budget proposal with an existing comment.
  2. Click the “Reply” button beneath a comment.
  3. Enter a reply and submit it.
  4. Observe the red notification at the top of the screen.

Actual behavior

  • Reply is saved and displayed correctly.
  • A red notification appears saying “Failed to comment”.

Expected behavior

  • Reply is saved and displayed.
  • No error message should appear if the operation was successful.
