Context
The New Committee type of Governance Action is currently rendering incorrect or unclear information in both the Voting and Outcomes pillars of GovTool. Specifically, the “Parameters” tab does not clearly distinguish which members are to be added and which are to be removed, and it also shows wrong or incomplete key data, including current and new expiration epochs.
This bug negatively affects users' ability to accurately understand and assess committee-related changes.
Reference
One correct implementation for comparison can be seen here in another tool:
Cardanoscan GA Display
Steps to reproduce
- Go to the Voting pillar and open the GA details for:
Voting Pillar Example - Open the “Parameters” tab
- Observe:
- Ambiguous presentation of which committee members are being removed vs added
- Incorrect or missing key hashes
- Inaccurate expiration epoch comparison
- Repeat the same on the Outcomes pillar:
Outcomes Pillar Example
Actual behavior
- Members marked for addition or removal are not clearly identified
- Some committee member key hashes are incorrect or truncated
- Current and new expiration epochs are misleading or misrepresented
Expected behavior
- Members to be added and removed should be clearly labeled and visually separated
- All key hashes should be correctly and fully displayed
- Expiration epochs should clearly show current vs updated values in a structured, unambiguous way
