Say for example a user comes to GovTool with this string: gov_action13tfag48nf94rtjcdq7c06vhkslmxxw9h6c88sl7q5g5nnewcsvlpx66gmxa

They are confronted with a home page that doesn't have a search bar. Where do they go?

Currently, a user would have to hunt and peck a lot of pages, paste the string in, and see what happens. If it were me, I'd just use another tool.

The problem is that GovTool needs to have a global search and it doesn't If I go to:

  • Cardanoscan
  • AdaStat
or other similar 'explorers', this is very simple. There is a search bar on the homepage, and the all will find the Governance Action that this string represents.

So, GovTool will be greatly more usable if we implement global search. There is a problem, however, and that is there are local searches for DReps, Budget Props, Proposals, and Governance Actions.

We need to design a system that either replaces the local searches with global ones, or works in a complimentary fashion with the local searches on these pages.
