Installed everything but game isn’t launching

i installed everything that was needed and followed the guide closely, but when i try to launch my game with the BO3MacFix applied it wont open, it jumps a couple of times in my dock and then crashes or sometimes just quits out momentarily after trying to open it.
Im not well-versed in computers and coding, i just wanna try out the custom maps so of anybody had a similar problem or have any solutions i would greatly appreciate it!

My experience launching BO3 within Steam:

1. If the game is infinitely loading / bouncing on the dock, your mac's Gatekeeper is most likely re-verifying the entire game file in which case you'll probably have to wait out the verification which can take up to 2 hours, depending on CPU and SSD speeds (took around 5-10 minutes for me).

If you go into Activity Monitor and select the Disk tab at the top, if your light blue "Reads in/sec" number is really high, like what's shown below, there's a good chance the verification is the issue.

The creator has also suggested a way to potentially skip this by launching Black Ops 3 within the Terminal, though I have not personally tried it. Source here.

2. If the game is instantly crashing upon launch, I fix this by launching within the game's folder in finder. You can do this by right-clicking the game in Steam, then Manage > Browse local files. Then click on the Black Ops III app. Image below.

I just had something similar happen, where I just installed the game, added the mod, but it wasn't launching through the icon. It did work to use option 9 in the script, but after I closed the script, opening through Steam and through the icon worked again.
