ET-2400 "Cannot read EEPROM"

Never knew about the waste ink pad thing, so ive discovered you guys was wondering since I just updated the firmware, and they got new stuff, is this a bug or am I doing this wrong, Id appreciate your guys time

I really need to get this fixed up and running
