Description
Now it immediately starts cutting and I had better hope everything is aligned properly. With a laser cutter and lightburn I usually do a "Trace bounding box" command first so it outlines where it's going to cut/engrave. That way I can confirm it's at the expected place.
If the cutting path gcode could be emitted twice, once with a higher "preview" Z and then the cutting Z that would be really nice, then I have time to hit the emergency stop if it's wrong.
Another option would be to have a similar button like in LightBurn that sends the gcode commands to klipper to trace out the boundary, that would be even better. Then I can confirm everything is lined up before starting a cut. It doesn't matter much for a full sheet of vinyl, but if I only have a tiny piece left I want to confirm it will be within the boundaries of the vinyl. It should be fairly easy through the moonraker exposed API server (https://www.reddit.com/r/klippers/comments/tj354k/sending_gcode_directly_to_klipper/i1j4vyi/)
Btw got my first cut done today yay!
