Showing raw mask when full string is not yet typed

Describe the bug
Is there a way to show raw mask symbols for users to show that he has not typed the whole string?

i.e. when typing phone:
+1 (12_) ___-__-__
+1 (123) ___-__-__
etc. forward to
+1 (123) 456-78-90

Smartphone (please complete the following information):

• Desktop OS: MacOS
