@pickuperast thanks for the detailed analyze. We have a solution which looks good to me, I am curious to hear your viewpoint as well.

We are adding the UI that will let a developer to choose which tools to disable/enable. If a tool is disabled, it won't appear in the Context and it won't drain tokens. What do you think, would be a good solution for your use-case?

This is a great option, that can solve problem. Also I want to mention additional approaches:
1)Easy. Optimize mcp descriptions, good example: https://scottspence.com/posts/optimising-mcp-server-context-usage-in-claude-code
2)Hard. Additional agentic layer to choose which tool to call. We just need to attach OpenAI api usage and let him to provide tool, can dramatically reduce tokens to single tool, for example: "smart_tool_selection"
