There are some apps like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=lukas.the.coder.heartforbluetooth Please note: I have no practical experience with this app, so I have no clue about its reliability. On the more practical side, a watch typically isn't the best approach to measure heartrate. The optical sensor isn't design to handle the movements encountered during the rowing stroke. So you'll encounter loss of HR data during the session, or weird readings. Most heart rate belts, even cheaper ones, will outperform it as they are placed on the chest, and use electrical measurement instead of optical. |

I'm at the point in my installation where I'm looking at heart rate monitoring options. My goal at this stage is to remove as much friction as possible and I find putting on and removing a wristwatch like device the best for me if I can't use the Galaxy Watch 6 I'm already wearing. It's paired with my phone and if I could find a way to have it's sensor data rebroadcast to the pi that would be the best solution. gimme some ideas please
