Description
Describe the bug
Sometimes when clicking on "Apply" with custom CO offset set (provably stable offset of -1 or even 0) and Nvidia GPU tuning (again just 10 MHz offset), the app completely freezes, and eventually so does the rest of the PC.
Touchpad and keyboard stops responding, yet somehow Windows still appears to be operating (stuff moving on the screen). Connecting external USB mouse also doesn't do anything for input though.
This seems to be happening when the preset is applied for the first time and the dGPU is turned on, you wait for dGPU to turn off (according to builtin system LED) and apply the preset again, without closing the app. The GPU gets stuck in active mode, and the system freezes and stops responding to user input within 10 seconds.
Another thing I noticed: when the dGPU is already activated (ie running MSI Afterburner in the background), the system just won't freeze. The issue indeed seems to be linked to dGPU going cold between applying the preset again.
Lastly: when the app is set to auto apply every 90 seconds, it again works correctly, seeing LED change color every 90 seconds, that the GPU has woken up and went to sleep after ~10s. The issue seems to be exclusively tied to the UI of the app.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behaviour:
0. Run in hybrid GPU mode
- Go to 'Custom'
- Change some values, including/excluding Nvidia GPU settings
- Click on apply (the first time always works correctly)
- Wait for a while (10 - 15s) without closing the app
- Click on apply again
Expected behaviour
Maybe the whole system shouldn't freeze?
