Issue with Disabling Transactions in BerkeleyJE and JanusGraph

Hi,

I encounter the following error during starting the gremlin server, when I disable transactions (storage.transactions=false),

JanusGraphException: Could not start new transaction
...
Caused by: org.janusgraph.diskstorage.PermanentBackendException: BerkeleyJE does not support non-transactional for multi threaded tx
        at org.janusgraph.diskstorage.berkeleyje.BerkeleyJEStoreManager.beginTransaction(BerkeleyJEStoreManager.java:169) ~[janusgraph-berkeleyje-1.0.0.jar:?]

Here are my environment details:

JanusGraph Version: 1.0.0
Storage Backend: BerkeleyJE 
Operating System: Ubuntu 20.04.6 LTS
Java Version: openjdk 11.0.21
