Digit-Classifier-exercise

Hi,
I'm Keerthi. I recently discovered Jde robot and would love to contribute to the org, especially vision exercises and deep learning fields .
When i checked there is a digit classifier exercise in the exercise folder but i can't see it in the ui....
If anyone could tell me the reason , would have been really helpful!
I'm attaching the ss of the frontend here when i run it from my system.

we have recently updated two exercises on ComputerVision with DeepLearning: Digit classifier and Human Detection (kudos to @codezerro and @dpascualhe). They both will appear on the next releases of our RoboticsAcademy and Unibotics robot programming website, hopefully next week.

@codezerro is working on his Google Summer of Code project on an End2End visual control of a robot, also combining Computer Vision and DeepLearning. In addiition @Amirmerfan is working on his internship on two new exercises: Digital Image Processing and Robot Vision Systems. Some betatesting will be useful on all those three exercises too :-)

Hi @keerthivnair,
Those exercises are available in the humble-devel branch. Run the RoboticsAcademy in developer mode using sh script/develop_academy.sh (the terminal must be in the RoboticsAcademy folder).

Beta testing both the exercises: human detection and digit classification. Here are the web documentations for human detection and digit classification.

Let us have your feedback after beta testing both exercises, and also give your feedback if we need any updates, enhancements, or corrections on the web documentation for a better user experience.

I’ve recently committed to a focused 7-day CP grind with a personal goal of hitting Specialist — it’s something I’ve been working hard toward.

If it’s okay, I’d love to take a proper look at the task in 6–7 days once I wrap this up — I really want to give it full attention instead of doing it half-heartedly.

DL exercises are available on the new Robotics Academy Docker Image (RADI). Update both RoboticsAcademy and the database.

Hi...i ran the exercise as you said and i can now see the digit classifier n human detection exercises also added but when i open the exercises i see this error.

@keerthivnair Did you update the database and the robotics academy database?

Yeah, I pulled the latest changes from the repo and ran docker compose up again, so it should be updated. I also ran the compose_build.sh script for dev_humble just in case. Let me know if there's any other part of the Robotics Academy ‘database’ I should sync — wasn’t sure if you meant something specific by that.

Download the database from
https://github.com/JdeRobot/RoboticsInfrastructure/tree/humble-devel/database

then replace the database inside RoboticsInfrastructure/ /database with downloaded universes.sql file
