Missing AMD GPU extension?

Running Alpaca I noticed this red "error" message in the preferences:

"AMD GPU Detected but the extension is missing, Ollama will use CPU"

I was under the impression the linux kernel provided all drivers for AMD built in. Do I need to download some other packages (running Fedora 41 for this)?
