IdeaVim not enabled on read-only views and AI Assistant chat

Hello 👋🏻

I'm using the plugin version 2.25.1 and Intellij Idea 2025.1.1 (Ultimate edition) on Linux.

Since the last update, the VIM emulation is not enabled on read-only views, like the Services tab, and also not enabled in the AI Assistant chat. Btw, in this chat, the space key is triggering the Which-key plugin.

Is there a setting to maintain the old VIM emulation on all tabs/windows?

Same issue here! 😰 I just downgraded(link) to 2.24.0 and it's working again.

Yeah, would be nice to be able to use vim on read only files even just on normal/visual mode.

I just want to use the keyboard to navigate and view files while reviewing code.

Old version works fine to me!

Sill not working on 27.2.2. Downgraded to 24 which is working now.
