Perhaps update the guide re: helper entries.

"To add helper entries, you may use suggested helper entried located in other/packages.yaml.
Download, modify if desired, upload to HA in /packages/ folder, and add following line in configuration.yaml:

You're more than welcome to fork the repository, make the suggested changes, and then create a pull request. If you do that, I can review and merge your changes directly. It's a perfect way to contribute and help improve the project for everyone.

Thank you for your feedback. I've reviewed the documentation, and I'm wondering if you've had a chance to look at the wiki page for Installation and Basic Configuration? It was created to help with the setup process, including the helper entities you mentioned.

The page is currently only available in Swedish, but I'd be happy to update it.

Find the indoor temperature selector (indoor_temp_entity) inside async_step_user().

It currently looks like:

vol.Required("indoor_temp_entity"): selector(
{"entity": {"domain": "sensor", "device_class": "temperature"}}
),

Quickfix: remove the device_class filter so average/helper sensors can be selected:

vol.Required("indoor_temp_entity"): selector(
{"entity": {"domain": "sensor"}}
),

Restart Home Assistant, then go to Settings → Devices & Services → PumpSteer → Reconfigure (or remove + add the integration if needed).

This is a temporary quickfix to unblock average temperature sensors. A cleaner solution (better validation/selection) will be included in the next release.
