Here are the features that we have planned for upcoming releases:

Version 1.3 - 2025-10-01

• Custom fees can be refunded without work-arounds (Allow Custom Fees to be Refunded #4)
• Custom fees can be activated and deactivated (Allow Custom Fees to be Deactivated #43)
• Store data for invoiced custom fees (Record Custom Fees as They Are Invoiced #60)

Version 1.4 - 2026-01-15¹ (e.t.a.)

• Taxes can be applied to custom fees (Apply Tax To Custom Fees #5)
• Reports are periodically refreshed automatically (Create a Cron Task to Periodically Refresh Report #24)
• Use codes to index stored custom fee data for orders (Storage of custom fees should use discrete names #44)
• Add a product attribute to use for assigning conditions to products (Create Attribute for Assigning Conditions to Products #45)
• Data for custom order, invoice and credit memo fees is represented by strongly-typed objects instead of arrays (Create Interfaces To Represent Stored Custom Fee Data #78)
• Discounts can be applied to custom fees (Apply Cart Rules to Custom Fees #92)

¹This release will be delayed from 2026-01-01 due to the end of year holidays.

Version 1.5 - 2026-04-01 (e.t.a.)

• Custom order fees are exposed via REST and GraphQL APIs (Expose Custom Order Fee Data via an API #75, Create a REST API for Custom Order Fees #76 & Create a GraphQL API for Custom Order Fees #77)

Version 2.0 - 2026-07-01 (e.t.a.)

• Complete refactor with custom fee settings moved to their own Admin page, database schema restructuring, and other planned changes

Update on Version 1.4 Release Timeline

Version 1.4 was intended to be released on January 1, 2026 but was initially delayed to January 15, 2026 due to the Christmas and New Year holidays. As you've likely noticed by now, that deadline was missed.

The release of version 1.4 has been indefinitely delayed by the fact that on January 5, 2026, I took a new full time employment role. This new position has required the devotion of a large portion of my available time for development. I have been attempting to take at small portion of my free time outside of working hours daily and on weekends to complete the remaining development tasks for this release, as time has permitted. (You may view a log of the work that I have done, if you wish to see my efforts.)

I hope to release version 1.4 by March 1, 2026, but I cannot guarantee that. I do not know how this delay will affect the release of future versions.
