Description
It looks like the appstore-connect-mcp-server MCP package no longer exists (or is no longer published) on Smithery, but the repository and installation instructions still reference it.
What I’m seeing
Attempting to install via Smithery fails consistently:
npx @smithery/cli install appstore-connect-mcp-server --client claude
or
smithery install appstore-connect-mcp-server
Results in:
Failed to install appstore-connect-mcp-server
Error: 404 {"error":"Server not found"}
This suggests the MCP server slug is no longer registered or has been removed from Smithery.
Environment
• macOS (Apple Silicon)
• Node: v22.21.0 (via nvm)
• npm: v10.x
• Smithery CLI: latest
• Client: Claude / Claude Code
Expected behavior
• The MCP server should either:
• Be installable via Smithery, or
• Be clearly marked as deprecated / unpublished with updated instructions.
Actual behavior
• Installation fails with a 404, and there’s no indication in the repo that the server is no longer available.
Questions / Requests
• Has this MCP server been unpublished or renamed on Smithery?
• If so, what is the current canonical server slug?
• If it’s deprecated, could the README be updated to reflect that (or point to an alternative)?
