Experimental Branch Update: New Frontend files and OPDS Support for Books

Frontend Improvements

This update brings a significant visual and usability upgrade across all major media pages.

Changes:

• Updated URL Realized I don't need the URLs to be the filenames anymore, so you don't need to type .html at the end (I left the endpoints available though so you can still use them)
  • Menu and each page links are now 192.168.4.1/menu or /movies etc.
  • added a back button on each page to return to menu
• Unified layout for Movies, Shows, Books, and Music
  • Consistent styling across all sections
  • Grid layout improvements for better readability and navigation
• Responsive design for multiple screen sizes
  • Optimized display for phones, tablets, and desktops
• Improved search behavior
  • Search results now respect the selected grid size and layout, and can be sorted A > Z or Z > A
  • I am willing to add an optional version with metadata handling, this would all have to be entered manually though! edit from admin panel. Let me know if that would be of interest (for shows and movies)
• Menu additions
  • Maps and Games entries added to the menu
  • These are currently hidden and non-functional (no backend or frontend files yet)

OPDS Support for eBook Readers

Initial support for OPDS 1.1 catalogs is now included.

How to Connect:

1. Connect to the Nomad Wi-Fi network
2. Open your eBook reader app (e.g., Moon+ Reader, or anything that supports OPDS)
3. Add a new OPDS Catalog with this URL: http://192.168.4.1/opds/books.xml
4. Browse and download books directly

Notes:

• Verified working with Moon+ Reader on Android (covers and download links function correctly)
• Other OPDS-compatible readers (e.g., KOReader, FBReader, Calibre Companion) are untested
• Further feedback and testing welcome
