I am Actually going to leave this one open for a bit. I would like to add subtitles support, and It should be possible, but for now the front end and backend don't support it. For like anime I just burn in the subtitles (use handbrake, it adds them onto the video directly) If anyone has thoughts on subtitle support let me know, I am going to add it to the to-do! |

It all depends on who your users are: If you intend to serve a mostly handheld audience, then you going to want to reduce your videos to 360p and you might as well cook the subs in. I say focus on other requests and come back to this one. |

Ok, I added some of this to the last update but I got super basic srt compatibility working. I am still considering switching the video player to use a JS library that would offer better support, but the next update will include some level of srt support for files of the same name, so you will need movie1.jpg, movie1.mp4, and movie1.srt. but it should offer a cleaner solution for many users. |
