Resampling (interpolation) and doppler shifting would be nice to have. I'm not sure what best practice is for interpolating spectra. We can support synthetic photometry in PhotometricFilters.jl (no need to do anything here).

This is great! Thanks for taking this on. I would also add redshifting a spectrum (relevant e.g. for high-z galaxies), related to doppler shifting.

Looking at the current code I also just noticed that adding two spectra with + assumes that their wavelengths are the same, which is not necessarily the case.

I also wonder it the meta attribute is really something that should be required by all subtypes of AbstractSpectrum.
