Should xmap also take max_cache and nthreads keywords as mapCube?

I am currently converting the mapCube tests to use xmap and I found that xmap doesn't have the same keyword arguments as mapCube. 
I am not sure whether we would like to have the same keywords or whether we capture this information somewhere else.
