Hard to use software

Hello. I am a mathematician, a geometer, not a computer expert. I wrote several complicated programs for billiards on Mathematica. They work great but sometimes its too slow, so I thought I'd try yr program. I tried to install and run it on my Mac. After 2 hrs of frustration I gave up. Too many error messages. I tried to recruit Gemini to help me, but it got stuck also. It seems to be made for people with exprience in using Julia, graphic interface etc. I programmed in the past also in Maple, C, Python, Matlab. There are always initial boring issues of instalation, librariesl, interface, etc, but one follows the instructions carefuly and it works. Not in this case. Perhaps it will be good to make a simple step by step tutorial for "dummies", to be able to get over the initial stage of instalation, graphic interface, etc, not using any CS lingo, just for normal people... THANKS!!

hello. you need to provide concrete things that don't work for you. So far you have spoken in generalities but this won't help me help you. Let's start with you writing a simple concrete thing that you wanted to achieve, what you tried to do with the software to achieve this thing, and didn't work.

Sorry if I was not clear. Installing and running this DinamicalBilliards sofware was not trivial for a computer dummy like me. I finally managed, after a long struggle and switching from Gemini to ChatGpt. A simple step by step friendly guide, starting from scratch, would be really useful. Hope its clearer. Thanks!

It not really reasonable to expect a tutorial on using Julia packages on the documentation of such a package. Probably you'd want to first go through a tutorial of absolute basics for using the programming language in the first place.
