It would be nice to (somewhat) finalize the recent refactor before JuliaCon, where I'll give a talk about the new version of OpenCL.jl. Tagging 1.0 seems like a logical step here.

@VarLad Is there anything you think still needs to happen before that? Basically, we want to promise some API stability post 1.0, so this isn't about feature-completeness but more about reducing the amount of periodic breakage.

I have no issues with the current API.
It has a reliable ways to select backends, and the APIs to use the said backends are similar to the APIs in other JuliaGPU repos (oneAPI, CUDA etc).
That being said, should we look into exposing accessibility kwargs in CLArray? Some user was asking about it on Slack, if I remember correctly, as older versions used to have that before. I've no strong opinions on this.

Other than that, I've no particular nitpicks around a 1.0 release, at least not with the user exposed APIs. :)
