How to use simulate_waveform for each contact and get summed up charge collection for every contact in multi pixel detector

how to get signal for/at each contact and total charge collection ?
is there any such example ?

i am reading reading MC events , saved as .hl5 file from Geant
How can i plot consolidated waveform for each contact.
and total charge charges .
From generated RDWaveform Table , is chnid same as contact ids ?

Yes, chnid is the channel ID.
You could select events either by their event number, e.g.

evt = evts[findall(evts.evtno .== 1)]
plot(evt.waveform)

Otherwise: if you know how many events you simulated:

n_evts = 10
evtno = 1
evt = evts[evtno:n_evts:end]
plot(evt.waveform)

For an individual Event use simulate!(evt, sim, …).
For a MC Table, use simulate_waveforms.

Well, simulate! uses a default Δt of 5ns, so this doesn’t tell us much.. can you try this with also 1ps time steps to see if you can reproduce the behavior of simulate_waveforms?

just pass Δt as keyword argument to simulate!

and then maybe also plot the event

To me, this looks like something is wrong, either with your electric field or your charge drift model.

ok thanks , i will check .
just for info this sim is for Al/pCdTe/Pt al schottky Pt ohmic ... drift model may not exactly suitable.
that i was thinking to alter after getting to some comparable point.
