Is there a risk that support for utf8proc will be discontinued on your end in the near future?

I've been happily using utf8proc for several years, and the regular updates are reassuring.
But… I'm afraid that one day the Julia language will no longer use utf8proc. I imagine that would mean the end of utf8proc support on your end?
I haven't found any discussions on this topic; perhaps you might have some pointers?

There are currently no plans to move away from utf8proc in Julia as far as I know. So I wouldn't worry about the "near" future.

Of course, in 10–20 years, who knows. But the history of free/open-source software suggests that once a tool is around for long enough and becomes widely enough used, usually updates continue in some form (even if not by the original maintainers).
