Is there a pain point in the app driving this feature request?

Yes, because once you set the date, you cannot change it. Sometimes there's a mistake, and can't undo it without the help of the admin.

To be able to reset or set the date.

Yes I can do that! As well as ask additional questions:

• How often should the user be able to reset the starting date?
• What do we do about existing data? If it's outside the range, delete them? Or just delete all as whole?

Hmm maybe once every 1 minute. I think the user is limited to 1 email processing task with a status of in progress anyway. So if they choose to reset the date, the current task should be cancelled.

Re: existing data...

If I choose an earlier date than what was previously set, then the date filter for the new processing task should go from the new date to the beginning of the preexisting data's minimum date. We can keep preexisting data.

If the user chooses a newer date than what was previously set, I would then expect the older data to be deleted.

If the user chooses the same date, we can let the user know that they're already up to date.
