Qt6_DAB-6.9.5-x86_64.AppImage and Qt6_DAB-6.9.6-x86_64.AppImage crashes

Both are crashing just at the point when they want to paint/open the GUI on the screen.

the problem is, it does not show that behaviour here. I do not understand where the "listensocket" comes from Did you try to start with a clean ini file? or with the autostart of the device removed I do not have a stick with an 820 based stick, but there is no problem with an older stick Op vr 5 dec 2025 om 21:58 schreef computer-wizard ***@***.***

I don't use an ini file or autostart in Linux.

OK. I found .qt-dab-6.8.ini and that did solve the problem and both AppImages did startup. I guess I did forget about it as I used the program for a long time

Yes, Jan, that might well be the case.

It's a 10 year old HP ProDesk 400 G2 Desktop Mini with an Intel G4400T processor that is not ready for Windows 11, so I decided the get familiar with a unixoid system again after more than 25 years. That might not be ready for avx2

I'm just experimenting on that system and trying the get as much knowledge as possible and get everything to run, so 6.9.4 is far enough.

Hi Jan,

the "scalar" version works, but since I have no RSP device available at the moment to startup completely, I switched to dabstick (RTL Blog V4 in this case) and get the error "Failed to open librtlsdr.so". RTL_SDR is installed, rtl_test, rtl_fm, AbracaDABra and CubicSDR work ...

Shouldn't librtlsdr.so be contained in the AppImage, as far as I understood this AppImage concept?

I than tried rtl-sdr, but can't connect (althought other SDR apps can) and now I can not access the dropdown for selecting the receiver. Completely disappeared (on both Linux and Windows)!?
