Use an application menu in the main menubar

I was thinking about changing the menu structure to use an 'application menu' similar to some other Haiku apps(Vision, Beezer, etc...), but wanted to get your opinion before working on it.

I'd like to add a 'Koder' menu so that the menus would be...
Koder | File | Edit | View | Search | Language | Help

The menu label could be either text or the application icon. It would contain the 'About', 'Preferences', 'Quit' menuitems for right now. I would probably also add a few links to the 'Help' menu which would open a browser to the project and issues page.

Looking at Haiku HIG, it seems to mention "Program: Items related to operating on the program itself."
I think it might be useful if it allowed listing all windows and switch between them, for example.
I believe icon would be more consistent with other apps, than text.
