Reproduction steps:

1. Join a room
2. Click on your name in the top right top open the user dialog
3. Change your role

Observed: Your role changes before clicking OK/Cancel on the dialog

Expected: We should wait to make changes until the user clicks OK. Likewise, clicking Cancel should not apply the changes.
