FileShot.io is a privacy-first, zero-knowledge file sharing platform. Files are encrypted entirely in the browser with AES-256-GCM before upload. The decryption key lives only in the URL fragment — it's never sent to the server, never stored, never logged.
Privacy properties:
- Zero-knowledge: the server only receives encrypted blobs, never the key
- No account required — nothing tied to your identity
- URL fragment key is not included in HTTP requests (never reaches server logs)
- Open source (MIT) — encryption code is auditable
- Self-hostable for full data sovereignty
