as can be seen in projects like https://github.com/eastlondoner/cursor-tools, there is value in being able to specify different models for different tasks. Taking that another logical step, simply being able to define different models for each mode would be very valuable. through this you would effectively be able to allow the orchestrating agent to choose the model it’s using by simply defining custom modes that are assigned to the desired model. Additionally, at least if you’re using an aggregator like openrouter, along with a custom Roo mode such as Boomerang Mode (really just an orchestrator-worker workflow, delegates subtasks), the context window could be maximized by choosing a model like gemini-2.5-pro or gpt-4.1 for orchestrator, while a more coding proficient model could be used for Code, such as 3.7 sonnet.
customizable “ask_question” built in tool, or all built in tools: i would like to be able to forward the questions roo asks me through arbitrarily to be answered from for instance a web interface, etc — but currently i cannot.

Currently this is built in to a certain extent, if you set your Architect to Gemini 2.5 pro for example, and your code mode to Gemini 2.5 flash (cheap & fast). And then start the Orchestrator mode it will use different models for different tasks

@Juice10 For clarification: what do you mean with "to a certain extent"? Afaik this is now fully built-in and just works. I feel like we can close this ticket. Is there anything that's not working?
