This has hit me a few times: I am typing a response to a follow up question (and not selecting one of the auto-generated options) and I think I still have time, but then I run out of time on the count down timer. This results in the default answer selected and frustratingly, the entire main textbox which is now filled with a detailed reply gets ignored and deleted and cannot be recovered. This feature would pause and/or reset the countdown timer if the user is typing actively, or implement an X next to the countdown timer to cancel it for just that one interaction. If there is an unsent but typed query waiting in the input text box once the countdown timer hits 0, it will remain there without being lost to be sent after the default follow-up question is answered.
