Chat history gets deleted instead of opening

Description

When I clicked on the chat history, instead of opening the conversation, it ended up deleting the history
I use Kilo Code version 4.38.1 (6eee34c)

Hi @FadillahMozhaiq, Thanks for the issue! I'm trying to reproduce this but no luck so far. Can you provide us with a bit more info? Which operating system are you using and which editor + editor version?

Hi @kevinvandijk , I was using a MacBook Air M1 with Kilo Code v4.38.1 in VSCode when I encountered this issue. It happened intermittently, and was resolved after I reinstalled the Kilo Code plugin and created a new task.

Could it be that there's some logic in the code that deletes the chat history if it fails to open properly?

It just happened again after I opened an old project. The conversation in history was likely created using a previous version of the Kilo Code. Although I'm currently using the latest version, opening that old conversation still caused it to be deleted instead of opened.

I can reproduce the issue:

1. Open the History page
2. Click Show tasks from all workspaces
3. Open one of the conversations listed
4. Observe — instead of opening the conversation, it gets deleted

I'm also experiencing this issue. This bug is affecting my workflow as well.

I've been able to reproduce the issue by manually failing writing the tasks in the code: #935

@FadillahMozhaiq you're observation is correct, we remove the task if it isn't found, but I'd say it should be found.

Ok, I've found one possible cause, did you customize the storage path @FadillahMozhaiq or @JosephSanjaya?

If I do I immediately get this situation, but before I dive deeper into that I want to make sure this was the cause for you (both) as well or that I have to search for other causes
