Registry cleaning

Apparently, with the help of AI, I had already managed to uninstall a program quite a bit, but not far enough. When I right-clicked, the program was still listed under "Open With."

After some searching, I hoped the BC Uninstaller (Bulk Crap Uninstaller) would solve this (not knowing that the registry thing was the problem), but that turned out not to be the case. The program wasn't found because it had technically already been removed, but apparently, an entry remained in the registry.

Perhaps cleaning the registry in such cases would also be a good suggestion.
