I got the next room to load after I fixed up my code, so the issue was me using a local position rather than global. Main issue now is the player seems to spawn off screen when the room changes. (And the minimap is still displaying weird) |

You need to subtract the offset, not assign it.
btw you can enable
display_player_locationin Minimap node to show player location.
