Bind successful but not working

Hi! I'm new to zigbee, have setup my first binding and it was successful but it doesn't actually work. I have been searching/reading on binding for hours but can't seem to figure out what's wrong...

Devices:
TuYa TS0203 door sensor
TuYa TS0505B_1 lightbulb

Steps I took:

1. Added both into Z2MQTT and verified both are working in HA
2. Z2MQTT device page for Door sensor, bind to, SEndpoint 1, Destination lightbulb, DEndpoint 1, Cluster OnOff
3. Triggered sensor wakeup when clicking bind and DO get green notifications for successful bind
4. Reconfigure device for sensor (successful)
5. Reconfigure device for bulb (successful)
6. Sensor closed and then open sensor. Nothing happens, the bulb does NOT turn on.

Am I missing something here, I'm feeling like I've covered everything that I can find in any docs and been messing with this for hours???

Also, this is my first bind ever, so if there is any initial setup needed for binding outside of the steps above, please let me know.

I also just retried everything and stared by deleting the per-configured bind to the coordinator for pwrcfg on the door sensor and it is still not working.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, does anyone have any idea how to get this working?
