Can't get zigbee device to connect to zigbee2mqtt

I am trying to connect a sonoff zigbee coordinator (https://shorturl.at/TDWrS) to my home assistant docker container but have been experiencing an issue I don't know how to resolve. Whenever I try to start up my zigbee2mqtt container I get the following error:

I know I am referencing the correct serial port as it can be seen below

Things I have tried include

1. changing port to /dev/ttyUSB0 in both docker and coniguration yaml
2. testing to see if permissions for the port are enabled using test -w [PORT] && echo success || echo failure
3. purchasing a powered usb adapter to make sure coordinator has no interference and sufficient power
4. made sure zha is not enabled
5. flash newer firmware to the coordinator although I have no idea if what I did actually worked or not

Any other suggestions on what to try or should I just return this coordinator and look for a different one?

In the Docker Compose YAML file, you are passing the serial device as /dev/ttyACM0 to the Zigbee2MQTT container. Make sure to use /dev/ttyACM0 in the Zigbee2MQTT configuration YAML.

Besides that, make sure your dongle is running the latest Ember-compatible firmware.

Okay that is what I had originally, but I was trying different things, so I will revert to that. I found this link for firmware that seems to be recent, but I'm not sure zigbeefirmware

There seem to be a lot of different links some of them to versions that are quite old. This one is 7 months old though, so that seems reasonable. What is recommended firmware version for ZBDongle-E?

Okay, I think I had installed the incorrect firmware previously, because when I used the firmware linked above and installed it according to this guide ZB-Dongle-E things are working successfully! I should note the link to the firmware in this article is outdated

Good to hear that things are now working.

The firmware you flashed is the correct one if you are looking for the official latest Sonoff firmware.

If you want more recent builds, you could also use the web flasher tool by @darkxst:

Or you could use the ember-zli tool by @Nerivec to flash the correct firmware (which should now work since the firmware you installed meets the requirements):
https://github.com/Nerivec/ember-zli

Using the ember-zli bootloader command, you get an interactive menu where you can choose which firmware to install.

I saw those during my searches but couldn't use them because of my firmware version. Happy to know I can use them going forward! They seem like fantastic tools!
