Sonoff SNZB-02 is not updating Temperature and Humidity values since the last update (2.6.3.

The temperature is not changing anymore:

But the device is working:

What did you expect to happen?

The temperature and humidity value should change.

I'm facing the same issue after a (long overdue) update from 1.4.x, and also found this issue which makes me believe this is not a 2.6.3 related issue.

Could you provide the debug log when configuring the device via the frontend -> yellow refresh icon? Make sure to wake up the device right before doing so by clicking a button on it.

See this on how to enable debug logging.

After that, blow in the sensor and see if reports anything.

I had version 2.6.2, I always use the latest versions.

Just one observation: I think it's not related to the new version, because I updated it on: 2025-11-03 09:57:04

And the temperature stopped working on 2025-11-05 10:06:56

If the configure fails it means the device is not awake while pressing the configure button, try to press a button on the device before configuring.

I think I resolved the issue on my side. There were a firmware update available (from 2.1.0 to 2.2.0) for all SNZB-02P but despite many tries I wasn't able to update nor reconfigure the device, even when waking them up just before I tried to do so.

I moved every sensor near the coordinator, wake them up by pressing the button and trigger the update from the UI, and that finally did the trick. Since the update all devices report values as expected.

I just notice that this thread is for the SNZB-02 not the P variant but the behavior of my SNZB-02P seemed to be exactly the same as your SNZB-02.

I've had a few SNZB-02's for a while now, they occasionally drop off the network and I have to remove and re-pair them. I assumed this was a battery reporting problem, as I had one with 61% battery left but when it dropped off and stopped reporting, it refused to even illuminate the LED when holding the reset button. The device page even has this under troubleshooting:

In case the sensor got stucked and will not send data anymore, try the following steps to restore it.

Force remove the device via the frontend
Restart Zigbee2MQTT
Re-pair the device

I hate myself for not doing a PR for the docs on that grammar by the way! Got stucked should be gets stuck
Hopefully we can remove that troubleshooting entry altogether, I'm willing to test things at least 😄

I'm actually wondering if it's firmware related as mine has 20200718 and someone here reports 20211103. OTA doesn't show for me on this device but it's available for the SNZB-02D apparently. I actually spent a few minutes trying to figure out why OTA wasn't working with mine until I realised the OP of that issue has the D version (check the link they post). I don't have a sonoff hub unfortunately but could potentially get one if it benefits others!
