Project: Interact - Employee Engagement & Gamification Platform

Status: Planned - Q1 2026

Overview

This document describes the Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipeline for Interact.

Current Status: Manual deployments. CI/CD implementation planned for Q1 2026.

Deployment Strategies

Staging Deployment

  • Automatic on merge to develop branch
  • Full test suite must pass
  • Deploy to staging environment
  • Run smoke tests

Production Deployment

  • Automatic on merge to main branch
  • Requires manual approval
  • Blue-green deployment
  • Gradual rollout (10% → 50% → 100%)

Quality Gates

PR Checks (Required to Pass)

  • ✅ All tests pass
  • ✅ Code coverage ≥ 70%
  • ✅ No linting errors
  • ✅ No security vulnerabilities
  • ✅ Build succeeds
  • ✅ 1+ approving review

Deployment Checks

  • ✅ All CI checks pass
  • ✅ No critical bugs in staging
  • ✅ Performance benchmarks met
  • ✅ Security scan clear

Rollback Procedures

Automatic Rollback Triggers

  • Error rate > 5%
  • Response time > 3 seconds
  • Failed health checks

Manual Rollback

Monitoring & Alerts

Deployment Monitoring

  • Error rates
  • Response times
  • User traffic
  • Resource utilization

Alert Channels

  • Slack #deployments
  • Email to on-call engineer
  • PagerDuty (critical only)
