Let me be honest—this whole thing started back in 2021 as a cozy little hangout spot where me and a couple of dev buddies built weird tools, broke working code (in the name of “experiments”), and spent way too much time talking to GPT instead of actual humans.

Some days we made magic. Other days we deployed bugs to production and called it a “feature drop.” But it was always fun.

And now? I thought—why not take this chaos public?

KHC is no longer just a tiny underground dev corner. It’s our open garage for builders, makers, tinkerers, and curious minds across the globe. Whether you’re into writing bots, automating silly stuff, shipping half-finished tools, or just want to vibe with other devs—we’re here for it.

Hey, I totally get where you’re coming from — and thanks for being honest about it.

I’ve spent a lot of time trying to build a dev community the usual way — reaching out personally, inviting folks one by one, running Discords, all of that. But it never really stuck.

So I switched gears and built a small system to find active open-source devs on GitHub — people who are actually building stuff. The goal wasn’t to spam or be random, but to connect with folks who are already doing great work, like you. Think of it less like a cold invite, and more like an open door.

That said, I totally respect your point. If it felt impersonal, that’s on me. I’m still learning as I go, and feedback like this helps improve how we grow KHC the right way.

Hey everyone!
I’m Urooj Naqvi, a CSE student trying to build cool stuff and survive college at the same time 😅

Some days I want to build an AI agent.
Other days I’m stuck trying to figure out how to make an auto trading bot work.
Things are a bit messy — but that’s the fun part. The more I learn, the more I enjoy it (even if it means struggling a bit every day).

One thing I’ve learned for sure — my sleep cycle is never getting fixed 😭
The more I grow, the worse it gets. But honestly? I love the chaos.
It’s exciting, it’s hard, and it keeps me going. Hoping it stays this way (yeah, I know that sounds kinda crazy, but hey 😄).

Random project idea?
A browser plugin that replaces every // todo in your code with a quote that yells at you nicely. Also starts a countdown timer just to make you panic in peace.

Debugging snack?
Chai + a bit of stress = perfect combo.

I am Saurav Bhowmick from India and I have an evergreen background. With a Bachelors in Mechanical engineering, my love started with coding when I learnt about mechatronics and in the final year took robotics to further deepen my knowledge. Then I started working in an automotive company as a Software Engineer for around 5 years developing and automating stuffs through PowerShell and when AI/ML started I particularly inclined to those technologies. Fast forward to now, I am searching for jobs in Europe with a masters degree in Renewable Energy and Data Engineering. Within my course I learned to code in Python and SQL and since then building projects. Now, I am looking forward to build projects focused in MLOps. Also, I am interested in automation through Node-Red particularly but when it comes to collaborative work I am open to new technologies.

Hi, thanks for inviting me for the community. My name's is Douglas, I'm from Brazil, where you may know, crazy things happen every day. So, I live in the real chaos :)
I like to search and build tools related to test automation. I use these tools to make my bots faster and easy to maintain. I'm currently working on Guara that is a ready-to-use test framework built in pure Python. Guara implements the Page Transactions Pattern that I discovered after many years working on automation and being dissatisfied about Page Objects and other traditional patterns. In parallel, I maintain a test automation tool called Caqui that I built to make UI tests faster by using multi-threading and multitasking. I have been using Caqui to feed a web site I have to help people to find jobs by similarities with their curriculum. It uses ML behind the scenes. Currently, I scan more them 150 companies to get 1700+ job positions. It is a perpetual work-in-progress hobby. My goal is to reach 10k jobs. I hobe I'll reach it in the end to this year or the next one.

I have a diverse background but mostly interested in just making video games now. I wrote my own engine but abandoned it in favor of Godot. Not that I regret the effort, it was worth the learning experience. And it made learning Godot quick 🤠. I'm currently working on a simple space shooter that I plan on releasing once finished. It's mostly complete I just have to come up with the game-play loop.

I'm a Linux desktop user as well. I run Garuda as I like the Arch base but I'm lazy and like it's OOB experience. That and for an easy gaming setup. I'm an RPG and action RPG nut.
