A SaaS (Software as a Service) platform is a type of software that you access over the internet instead of installing on your computer. The software is hosted on the provider’s cloud servers, and you use it through a web browser or app, usually by paying a subscription fee. You don’t need to worry about updates, maintenance, or owning the software—the SaaS provider manages all of that for you. Examples of SaaS platforms include Google Workspace, Salesforce, and Slack. SaaS makes it easy and cost-effective to use powerful software from anywhere with an internet connection.
