How to modify the customer number

Question
I have created a customer with Name and Number . But I need to modify the number to a different one but I cannot find the option to edit the existing one!!
All I can see is an option to copy the number but not edit it!!

Indeed, the customer number can be only changed if no licenses are associated with the customer profile.

To be able to change customer number, there are the following options available:

• delete all licenses -> change customer number -> reenable licenses
• create a new customer -> recreate all licenses -> deactivate old customer
