[Bug] Govee integration broken after updating to Home Assistant Core 2025.11.3

Hello,
Since updating to Home Assistant Core 2025.11.3, the Govee integration from HACS has completely stopped working.

Everything was working perfectly before the update.
Now, when I try to set up the integration, I get the following error:

“Unable to connect. Is the API key correct and is the internet connection working?”

I have tried:

Re-entering my existing API key

Generating a new API key from the Govee Home app

Restarting Home Assistant

Reinstalling the integration

In all cases, the integration fails during the setup phase with the same message.

This issue appeared immediately after the Core 2025.11.3 update, so it seems related to incompatibility with the latest Home Assistant changes.

i use the latest version of integration.

I also apologize if this message does not fully follow the community standards. I am still new to Home Assistant, and until now this Govee integration was the only HACS component that worked easily and reliably for me.
So I’m a bit desperate!

Hi! You're not alone. Installed Govee cloud via HACS, no problem. Entered API code, but devices failed to appear in the integration. I also am on HA Core 2025.11.3
Tried reinstall, to no avail.

Unsure if it is related, but I am also having an issue. I set the integration up last night and had no issues with the API key and pulling devices on 2025.11.3. However now, this morning I performed a restart and the logs showed I'm getting an error message stating I've exceeded the API rate limit of 10,000 per 24 hours. Not sure how I managed that!

Yep same issue here, same cause, so far 2025.11.3 messed up y Govee integration, my TP-Link Smart Home Integration and my Synology integration, fixed the TP-Link, but Govee and Synnology are proving difficult.

I adjusted the poll interval to 120 vs the default 10 to cut back on the requests and that seems to have worked? You will have to wait a full 24 hours from the initial rate limit violation before you can reload the integration and have it load successfully.

Having the same problem since updating to HA core 2025.12.3

Both exceeding API request of 10k + Cannot connect. Is the API-Key correct and the internet connection working? like everyone else I suppose
